Process and Timeline
St. Angela Merici School, admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at its schools. They do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin or disability in administration of their educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. Information used with applications will or be used for any unlawful discriminatory purpose.
ORDER OF ACCEPTANCE FOR OTHERWISE QUALIFIED APPLICANTS
St. Angela Merici School typically accepts students according to the following categories:
1. Siblings of current St. Angela Merici students; ** Children of territorial parishioners who are deemed active by the pastor; *
2. Children of non-territorial parishioners who are deemed active by the pastor;
3. Children of territorial parishioners of a parish without a school or no room in their territorial parish school who are deemed active by their pastor;
4. Children of non-territorial parishioners of a parish without a school or no room in their territorial parish school who are deemed active by their pastor;
5. All others - including inactive parishioners, non-Catholics, etc.
NOTE: In the case of a student transferring from another Archdiocesan Catholic school, before granting admission, the principal will assess the status (academic, financial obligations, and disciplinary) of the student by conferring with the previous principal.
* Meeting the above criteria does not guarantee automatic acceptance.
** Being a sibling and/or a parishioner does not guarantee automatic acceptance.
GRADE /AGE ELIGIBILITY
PK2- children must be 2 years of age by September 30
PK3- children must be age three by September 30
PK4 children must be age four by September 30
FEE POLICY
Application fees are non-refundable.
I UNDERSTAND THAT ALL FEES PAID ARE NON-REFUNDABLE REGARDLESS OF ACCEPTANCE INTO ST. ANGELA MERICI SCHOOL ONCE A CHILD HAS BEEN ACCEPTED, REGISTRATION FEE AND OTHER FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE TO ANY OTHER CHILD/STUDENT/APPLICANT.
APPLICATIONS AND IF APPLICABLE, REGISTRATION, WILL NOT BE PROCESSED WITHOUT RECEIPT OF ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION AND PAYMENT OF FEES.
TIMELINE
OCTOBER 2024
October 1: NEW Student Applications (NEW family & siblings of current students) opens Deadlines to be considered in first round of priority acceptance:
December 13: NEW Student Applications for PK2, PK3 and PK4 due
January 17: NEW Student Applications for K-7th due
Completed New Student Applications can be submitted beginning October 1 through
December 13 or January 17, 2025, accordingly (see above).
All required components of the Application must be submitted to be considered complete. School officials may schedule and conduct Interviews of New Applicants for available spaces as soon as a completed application is received.
JANUARY 2025
January 6-17: Returning Student Registration Opens
January 19: New Student Application period closes (NEW family & siblings of current students)
FEBRUARY 2025
February 7: Admissions Notifications communicated
February 7-14: New Student Registration
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION:
All Applicants for Admission to St. Angela Merici School for the 2025-2026 Academic School Year will be submitted online through the FACTS portal.
APPLICATION CHECKLIST (SPECIFIC TO EACH SCHOOL)
To begin the Online Application process, Create an Account. Upon account creation, you will receive an email containing a verification link. Once your email address has been verified, log in to your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.
A non-refundable fee of $60 must be submitted with each application.
After submitting the application, you will be able to track your admissions status at the school by logging in to your account. In addition, you will be able to print the completed application, monitor when the school receives any applicable supplemental forms and, if necessary, reprint the forms.
